Coincidentally, I had a 21 day free trial of dBpoweramp (dBp) software, intending to use it to convert some high-resolution files to a level of FLAC the B2 could play. But I was still getting some discs freezing and some not recognised.
Sorry I am more than 3 years late for your. Then I just downloaded and installed Ableton again and it prompted me to start a 90-day trial. It worked well, but a small number of CDs froze so I added a cheap external drive (one of those mentioned on the Brennan website) which was certainly faster and quieter. Hey man I got a 90-day trial again on the same PC, I deleted the Ableton and Max folders in documents, uninstalled the app via Windows settings and made sure theres no trace of any Ableton in program files. I started the ripping process using the B2's internal CD drive.
